Homotoxicology is an innovative concept of homeopathy, with its own theoretical and methodological body and its own therapeutic strategy.
The etymology of the term homotoxicology – or antihomotoxic homeopathy - means “study of the effects of toxins on human beings and related homeopathic treatment”.

Homotoxicologists use both the findings of homeopathic and traditional medicine and interpret them according to a congruent paradigm that exhaustively explains the emergence of health and disease phenomena.

Homotoxicology views health as dynamic homeostasis. Hence, the disease is assessed as a physiological expression of the fight waged by the body, which tends to eliminate those endogenous and exogenous homotoxins (or stressors) that have exceeded the alert threshold.

The therapy works by stimulating the body's self-healing mechanisms and thereby enhancing the immune response that is specific to each person.
To achieve this goal, either single or complex homeopathic remedies are used. They are derived either from traditional homeopathy or more recent pharmacological findings (pig organ substrates, intermediate catalysts, quinones and the various immunostimulant principles …)
